Michael Heaney, son of the poet Seamus Heaney, has paid tribute to his father at the funeral service for the late poet.
Calling him a wonderful family member, he said his father’s last words came in a text message to his mother saying, in Latin, “don’t be afraid”.
Heaney, acclaimed by many as the best Irish poet since Yeats, died on Friday (30 August 2013) aged 74.
